Army Public School, Udhampur, marked the 'Hindi Weekend' with tremendous enthusiasm and splendour on September 18, 2025. The celebration commenced with the lighting of a lamp by esteemed dignitaries including Principal APS Udhampur Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Vice Principal Mrs Reena Sharma, Coordinator Primary wing Mrs Pallavi Rajput, Headmistress Pre-primary wing Mrs Anju Arya, Mr. Naresh Dogra and Mr Basant Kumar Pathak, Head of the Hindi Department. The event witnessed active participation from teachers and students dedicated to the Hindi language, showcasing vibrant cultural and literary performances across the school's primary and senior wings. The 'Hindi Weekend' featured a diverse array of captivating programs presented in Hindi, including Ganesh Vandana, prayer songs, "Gyan se Pehchan", "Chalen Bachpan Ki Aur", group singing, humour-satire segments, ghazals, dance-music renditions, and impressive orchestra performances. Complementing these were literary presentations like poetry recitations, doha singing, and a well-received Hindi quiz competition. Mr Raman Dhiman and Mrs Meena Sambyal, teachers who excelled in the quiz competition, were honoured with awards for their outstanding performance. Additionally, as the school had been closed for several days due to heavy rains preventing the earlier celebration of Teacher's Day, the occasion also served as an opportunity to honour teachers with gifts. Principal APS Udhampur Dr. Sanjeev Kumar expressed profound happiness over the successful organization of the 'Hindi Weekend', underscoring the pivotal role of Hindi as a language that holds a special stature and unites India. He emphasized the importance of maintaining linguistic purity and highlighted Hindi's contribution to personality enrichment. Appreciating the efforts of the Hindi department and all contributors, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar reinforced the school's commitment to promote the language and culture. Mr. DP Dwivedi concluded the event by extending heartfelt thanks to all for their support, encapsulating the spirit of celebration and dedication
