CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 

Principles of honesty, truth, co-operation, self reliance and hard work are inculcated through various school activities. The children learn to do things for themselves under the steady supervision of the staff. Athletics and Inter House Competitions develop sportsmanship and a healthy spirit of competition.

 

Different types of activities such as Dramatics, Debates, Elocution, Quiz, Recitation, Dances, Singing etc are organized under the House System, Senior students are encouraged to participate in Community and social service. Educational trips are organized to expose our children to the rich cultural heritage of our country. Project works on various educational themes are conducted regularly to develop the talents of the children and to instil confidence in them. All these activities are held for all classes so that all children get a chance to play a minimum of one game.

 

CLUBS PORTFOLIO OPTIONS

LITERARY CLUB

The club aims to develop analytical and creative thinking skills. It aims to foster a love for language, develop a taste for literature and analyse both reading and writing perspectives.

 

VISUAL  ARTS CLUB

The club’s purpose is to bring students to share experiences and excitement about art, to explore new perspectives, the life of our imagination with its intense feelings.

 

PERFORMING ARTS CLUB

Arts, such as dance, drama and music based on social environmental, health and wellness concept will be performed.

 

MUN CLUB

It is an educational simulation in which students are prepared to discuss and critically analyse global issues of international importance. It involves research, public speaking, debating and writing skills in addition to critical thinking, teamwork and leadership abilities.

 

WELLNESS CUISINE CLUB

The club entices the creative taste buds of students who would like to learn more about food and healthy eating habits. Students are encouraged to think on innovative cooking skills, creative ideas on recipes, different cooking standards and healthy diet.

 

ECO SUSTAINABILITY CLUB

The club creates awareness on environment among the students and involves them in the clean and green programmes. It will help to promote, monitor and operate the newly introduced ‘Mushroom Culture Programme’ in the school premises.

 

ICT DESIGN & GRAPHICS CLUB

The club will promote and increase the computer cohesiveness in learning of designing concepts through tools of technology, Photoshop, animation etc. For school magazine and other co-curricular events.

 

INTERACT CLUB

The club aims to develop constructive leadership and personal integrity among students to actively plan and organize several school activities, their time management and finances.

 

HOUSE SYSTEM

 

The school has four houses Jhelum, Ravi, Chenab and Beas. Each house has a Captain, Prefects and a House teacher. The school has a Head Boy and a Head Girl. All these designations are elected through voting.
