Army Public School Udhampur is awarding Pachauri Medal annualy in honour of Late Lt Col VK Pachauri, CO NCSR who died while commanding the Regt during 1975- 76. The expenditure is met from the interest earned on Rs 2,00,000/- donated by family of the late Officer. Silver Medals are being presented to toppers of Class XII (Science, Commerce and Arts Streams).
The board of administration has approved the award of scholarship of Rs. 5000/- to the studetns securing more than 90 percent marks in the Senior Secondary Board Examination. The Scholarship is given by AWES. Class toppers of all classes and stream toppers of Class -XII are also given scholarships.
The award in the memory of late Lt Col Tarun Deep Singh Bedi. Kindness is an innate quality that all of us must have but we need to see more of it around us in this world. This award is in the recognition of that exceptional child every year who has set exemplary standards of being human.
