BAISAKHI- the festival of harvest.

Aayi Baisakhi Shayi khushali Khatam huyi kheton ki rakhwali Khushi se karte kheton me kaam Kanak se bhare khet khalihan BAISAKHI- the festival of harvest celebrated with zest at ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL, UDHAMPUR. The Senior wing of Army Public School, Udhampur reverberated with enthusiasm during the Baisakhi celebrations. The festival of harvest was celebrated in order to acquaint the students with the Punjabi culture and tradition. The entire school was decked with phulkari and flowers. Children and teachers came dressed in traditional Punjabi colourful outfits with ornaments and accessories. Punjabi folk dance in typical folk attire added to the excitement. Children were also explained about the importance of the festival by showcasing the Punjabi culture. They brought sumptuous dishes in their lunch boxes to mark the festivity with Millets as the main ingredient. While speaking on the occasion, Principal of the school Mr. Sanjeev Kumar said that Celebration of the Baisakhi festival.
