APS Udhampur hosted INTER -CLUSTER NORTHERN COMMAND FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT on 21 st Nov.,2023 in a grand manner to develop Harmony and Healthy sporting environment among the Sister schools of Northern Command. The occasion was graced by the Chief guest, Brig. HS Pilkhwal. The final match for Northern Command Football trophy was played between APS Udhampur and APS Kanpur. After the Introduction of the teams, the Chief Guest addressed the players and inspired them to show their talent in the true spirit of sportsmanship. He also inspired them to look at sports as a field of career. The match was a tough and interesting one as both the teams fought against each other to the best of their abilities. APS Udhampur became the Football Champions by beating APS Kanpur by 2-1. APS Kanpur was declared the Runner up. The Football Teams participated with great Enthusiasm. The tournament came to an end with the prizes being given away to the winners by Brig. HS Pilkhiwal, Chief guest for the veledictory ceremony. The Winner team was awarded by the Rolling Trophy, medals and certificates. The Runner up team also received a Trophy, medals and certificates. Master Sunny Singh of APS- Udhampur was given the Best Player Award for his excellent performance in this tournament. Vice Principal APS Udhampur Mrs Reena Sharma congratulated he child players and their coach Mr. Gurmeet Singh for the excellent performance in the match. Expressing her views, she said that our players have really made the school proud by performing excellently. Looking at their commendable performance, we are confident that these players will become national and international leaders in the future. In the end, the Vice Principal thanked everyone for making this event a success and extended best wishes to all the players for their bright future. Chief guest Brigadier HS Pilkhwal also praised the excellent performance of all the participants. The programme concluded with the National Anthem .The day was a great experience in the life of Students. The students devotedly performed their duties as volunteers. The Tournament was a grand success by the combined efforts of Students, teachers and Support Staff.
