Army Public School, Udhampur recently concluded its Mental Health Week, a comprehensive initiative aimed at promoting mental wellness and awareness among students. Under the guidance of School Counsellor Ms. Sonika Rajput, the school organized a series of activities and sessions from October 4 to October 14, 2025. The events included gratitude writing exercises, screenings of the CBSE Virtual Mental Health Series, breathing exercises, talk with students on Mental health, poster-making and slogan-writing competition. These activities provided students with valuable insights into mental health, equipped them with essential life skills, and encouraged them to express their thoughts and creativity. The school also hosted a team of medical officers and counselors from the Psychiatric Department, CH (NC), who conducted an interactive session with students. This session sensitized students about mental health and its significance, providing a platform for them to express their thoughts and participate enthusiastically. The Mental Health Week was a resounding success, promoting awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging students to prioritize their mental health. The school's initiative to prioritize mental health education is commendable, and it is hoped that this momentum will be maintained in the future.
