Army Public School, Udhampur successfully hosted and won the Northern Command Inter Cluster Hockey Championship, showcasing exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, spirited competition and unwavering school spirit. Maj Gen Navraj Dhillon, GOC 71 Sub-area and Patron APS Udhampur and Mrs. Ashima Dhillon, Chairperson FWO graced the occasion as chief guests. Other distinguished dignitaries present on the occasion were Col K.S. Deshpande, Deputy Commander TA Gp HQ, Lt Col Surendra S, SO to Chairman APS Udhampur, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar,Principal APS Udhampur and Mrs. Reena Sharma,Vice Principal APS Udhampur. The thrilling event commenced with a captivating dance performance followed by an Oath-taking ceremony. Maj Gen Navraj Dhillon addressed and wished the teams good luck, setting the tone for a thrilling competition. The championship match saw two top-notch teams APS Udhampur and APS Kanpur. APS Udhampur emerged victorious, securing a triumphant victory with an impressive score of 8-1. Their impressive performance earned the coveted title. The program concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, led by Col K.S.Deshpande and Lt Col Surendra S, honouring the outstanding achievements of participating teams. They extended heartfelt congratulations to the winning team and their coach Mr. Gurmeet Singh.
