APS Udhampur recently hosted the Northern Command Inter Cluster Volleyball tournament, which brought together the crème de la crème of volleyball teams from the cluster to compete in a thrilling display of skill, strategy, and teamwork. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Principal APS Udhampur, who emphasized the importance of sports in building character and promoting physical fitness among students. The tournament featured the best teams in the cluster, including APS Udhampur and APS Raiwala in the girls' category, and APS Akhnoor and APS OC Prayagraj in the boys' category. The matches were officiated by a team of esteemed officials from the Volleyball Federation of India-Mr. Amit Sharma, Mr. Manik Nargotra, and Mr. Naveen Kumar Sharma, who ensured that the games were conducted fairly and according to the rules. The girls' teams, APS Udhampur and APS Raiwala, put up a great fight, with APS Udhampur emerging as the champions in their category by defeating APS Raiwala with a score of 3-1. The boys' teams, APS Akhnoor and APS OC Prayagraj, also gave it their all, but APS Akhnoor took home the winners' trophy by defeating APS OC Prayagraj with a score of 3-0. The Runner-up girls' trophy went to APS Raiwala, while the Runner-up boys' trophy went to APS OC Prayagraj.The awards were presented by Dr. Sanjeev kumar, Principal APS Udhampur, at the closing ceremony, where Vaishnavi from APS Udhampur was awarded the Best Player Girls and Lalit Pawar from APS Akhnoor was awarded the Best Player Boys. APS Udhampur's boys' hockey team also made the school proud by winning the Inter Cluster Northern Command Hockey tournament against APS Kanpur with a score of 1-0. The cricket team of APS Udhampur followed suit, winning the Inter Cluster Northern Command Cricket tournament by defeating APS Kanpur by 13 runs.
