APS Udhampur Cadets Shine at Thal Sainik Camp 2025

Cadets from APS Udhampur have made the school proud by participating in the prestigious Thal Sainik Camp 2025, held at the Director General National Cadet Corps (DG NCC) Camp in Delhi Cantonment from September 1-12, 2025. Notably, Cadet Harshvir Singh Sudan and Cadet Khushi from APS Udhampur represented the Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate and achieved remarkable rankings. The JK&L contingent, comprising these talented cadets, secured impressive positions in the camp. The boys' contingent secured 4th place overall, while the girls' contingent secured 3rd place overall among all directorates across India. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and leadership abilities of these cadets, as well as the guidance provided by their mentors. The Thal Sainik Camp 2025 witnessed fierce competition among over 1,547 cadets from 17 NCC Directorates across India, who were tested on various parameters including physical endurance, mental alertness, and leadership skills. The camp included events like weapon firing, map reading, judging distance, field signaling, and health and hygiene, focusing on leadership development, teamwork, and discipline. This achievement is expected to inspire other cadets from APS Udhampur and the region to strive for excellence in NCC activities.
