Army Public School Udhampur

Army Public School Udhampur celebrated its Annual Sports Day 2024, themed "Spardha", with great enthusiasm and fervor. Mrs. Aashima Dhillon, Chairperson of Family Welfare Organization, was the Chief Guest, joined by Col MS Rawat, Director AWES, HQ Northern Command, Principal Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, and Vice Principal Mrs. Reena Sharma. The event began with the lighting of the sports flame and an impressive March Past by six contingents. Cultural events, track and field competitions, and awards followed, recognizing top performers including Class X Topper Kamakhya Kamal (96%) who received a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and Class XII Topper Pankush Singh (98.8%) who received Rs. 15,000. Other awardees included Pachauri Medal winners who received Rs. 6,000 each, students scoring above 90% who received Rs. 5,000 each, and Best NCC Cadets who received Rs. 1,000 each. Master Kaustabh Sharma and Ms. Harmandeep Kaur were awarded Best NCC Cadet and Best NCC Cadet Girl, respectively. Ravi House won Best House in CCA and Jhelum House won Best House in Sports. Additionally, the school's Class XII teachers were honored with the Academic Excellence Trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 75,000 for outstanding results in Northern Command and runner-up in the Very Large Category schools of AWES. The event concluded with a high-energy "Chak De India" dance performance, showcasing APS Udhampur's commitment to holistic education and excellence.
