WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY.

Army Public School, Udhampur observed World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2024, with a special assembly and thought-provoking performances emphasizing the importance of mental well-being, aligning with the theme "It's Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace." The assembly commenced with a skit presented by students, highlighting scenarios impacting mental health, including workplace pressure and stress, peer pressure, academic stress, social media influence, and bullying. Through their powerful performance, students conveyed the significance of recognizing and addressing mental health concerns. This was followed by a captivating mime act in the school auditorium, specifically focusing on the adverse effects of excessive mobile phone usage on young minds, emphasizing the need for responsible digital habits. Principal APS Udhampur, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, in his address, emphasized, "Mental health is just as vital as physical health. It's crucial to acknowledge and prioritize our emotional well-being, seeking support when needed." The event, held under the guidance of School Counselor, Ms. Sonika Rajput, aimed to raise awareness about mental health, encourage open discussions, and foster a supportive school community. The celebration successfully achieved its objectives, educating students about mental health, promoting empathy and understanding, and inspiring positive lifestyle choices. To further reinforce the message, School Counselor Ms. Sonika Rajput conducted an interactive session with students, addressing their queries and providing valuable insights on maintaining good mental health. This session encouraged students to openly discuss their concerns and seek support when needed. By observing World Mental Health Day, APS Udhampur reaffirmed its commitment to students' holistic development and well-being.
